History of College Park
Presbyterian Church

In 2003, a plan began to form to merge two congregations, John Knox Presbyterian Church and Calvary Presbyterian Church, into one new congregation, College Park Presbyterian Church. The stated purpose was to be alive for Jesus Christ, seeking to serve others with energy and compassion, sharing blessings freely and fully and helping people of all ages to become mature disciples of Jesus Christ, our Lord. The combined congregations approved their merger to become College Park Presbyterian Church (PCUSA). The congregation met for worship and to hold their first congregational meeting on February 8, 2004. College Park Presbyterian continues to be committed to its mission of sharing the love of Christ with all, Soli Deo gloria, for the glory of God alone.
